However, when the time came for the deal for the game to go live, the Epic Games Store went down, presumably as people tried to refresh the site to claim the free title.<\/p>\n<p id=\"r7EBZp\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Epic acknowledged the outage in an\u00a011:05AM ET tweet, and in a\u00a012:58PM ET tweet\u00a0the company said the store was still experiencing issues:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store.<\/p>\n<p>We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. Epic\u2019s\u00a0Battle Breakers\u00a0mobile game was also experiencing issues during the day. However, according to\u00a0Epic\u2019s status page, both\u00a0Fortnite\u00a0and\u00a0Battle Breakers\u00a0are now fully operational again.<\/p>\n<p id=\"hESxJ9\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Epic is letting you claim the Premium Edition of\u00a0GTA 5 download, which includes \u201cthe complete\u00a0GTA V\u00a0story,\u00a0Grand Theft Auto Online\u00a0and all existing gameplay upgrades and content,\u201d according to the studio, as well as the\u00a0Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, which gives you additional content and $1,000,000 bonus cash for\u00a0GTA Online.<\/p>\n<p id=\"sD9Aqs\" style=\"text-align: center;\">Before snagging your copy, you should know that Epic is\u00a0now requiring\u00a0people have two-factor authentication turned on to claim free games.
